Hi can someone tell me how to update firmware,
i bought phone from 3 uk last week when i try to update it says its up to date.
model number- MHA-L09
Build number- MHA-L09C432B156

Was the phone specific to the 3 network? If so, you probably have to be on the 3 network in order to get the official OTA system update.

Try firmware finder in playstore... I'm on 156 as well though and haven't been updated yet

Yep i purchased mine from three also using it on Vodafone Great device let down by Huawei lack of updates but still the best device I have had and am coming from a Nexus 6p

Here in Switzerland I'm stuck with 156 firmware and January security too. And my Mate 9 isn't linked to any specific network.
As much as I like this phone, Huawei seems to be very bad concerning updates.

So we got a later build in the US? I'm on 183 with March security patch here in the states on ATT.

Yes Europe is on a older build the US gets the better support only Apple gives the UK and Europe the same support to USA

Wow... Keep out with this update! I just discovered that many of my files have randomly disappeared since the update (jpg and mp3). Not good Huawei, not good... :-( Very strange.

Switzerland.
For example I had a folder with 40 songs (mp3), and after the update, only 2 are left in this folder; the 38 others have totally disappeared! And there is no logic I can understand: it's the 1st and 6th songs that are still there, why these two?....

OK I just got the update too but didn't have any media apart from pictures am in the UK. Overall UI seems snappier

after the update to 182 my battery life is even better, really pleased with battery life but now its unbelievable.. just wish Barclays bank would sort there app out...
