I think it was for the camera on the S10's.

I have no sources or knowledge or anything like that. If I had to guess through this update would also have the notification light if Samsung chooses to do it.

I'm expecting middle of May for US unlocked model

So this is my new normal? Loving android flexibility (newly transferred from apple) but not loving the bugginess of new releases. Do carriers get updates quicker? Is it worth it to firmware flash to my current carrier?

I hope it fixes notification for my voice mail I'm tiered of*68 to hear the messages and use songs from my Google music library for ring tones

Flashing firmware with Odin is what I'm assuming.

Is it hard to flash firmware by yourself Samsung and Verizon said me and my husband need to get ours flashed because we switched from Sprint to Verizon. And they said we still have some Sprint software on our phones cuz we're still having issues with signal after switching carriers. My husband Googled it but we've never done anything like that before and I would rather have a store do it.

Samsung told me to take it to you break It We fix it but they didn't have the right binary files cuz we have unlocked phones and there was a problem and he told me I had to bring it back. I don't know but he was trying to call Samsung about it. He said he had the Verizon firmware but not for unlocked and then when he got told which one to download it wouldn't download. Now I kind of wish I had a Verizon branded phone but when we got our phones we were still with Sprint and got unlocked but now I know I'm staying with Verizon.

It's super easy if you're comfortable using a PC. You just install Odin, download the firmware, and flash.

Thanks I'll tell my husband. I just don't understand how the guy at the store didn't have the right binary files cuz we had unlocked phones and then he said Samsung was no help and he finally got the right files but they wouldn't download. I don't know what to do. Samsung wants my husband to send his phone in if that flashing doesn't work to see if it's hardware but he can't be without a phone. They said they would send a 24 hour shipping label and they would work on it as soon as they got it but I said he still can't be with out a phone. Is ridiculous you paid a lot of money for these phones outright it's not right. Samsung had told me they were going to call Best Buy and try to talk to the manager about getting me a new one I don't know if they did I'm going in there on Thursday.

Sounds like Samsung is trying to help

That's crazy, I hope it works out. If you guys need help flashing the firmware with Odin, just let me know and I can try to help. Or direct you to a tutorial on how to do it.

Good luck!

Thank you! My husband did google it and said it didn't seem hard but he's never done it and I am worried something could go wrong and what if it voids the warranty if we don't let them do it. It is crazy though and I hope doing this really helps and that their really is some Sprint files on our phones that go away. But once we flash can we put back in our same new Verizon sim card we got when we switched to Verizon or should we start fresh with that also I don't know anything about it. I want to stay with Verizon cause we had problems in a few areas before with Sprint on older phones and Verizon is just better here so I wouldn't even mind having a Verizon phone if I end up having to exchange. I am going to keep after Samsung if this flashing doesn't work. My husband may just have to send his in an be without a phone.

But thank you and I will let you know if he's going to try it at least on his phone which is worse than mine and will let you know if I need help.

How did it go? Did you have to send it in. My phone just keeps wanting to Sprint Activation not completed all the time. Driving me bonkers
