I use it exclusively right now, but I'm eager to try Chrome out. If it isn't what I want it to be, I'll be right back to Dolphin Mini
I'm in the same boat. I hope chrome is great, but if not, right back to dolphin

1. Nova Launcher
2. Chrome (would like to try it out/otherwise Dolphin HD)
3. Swiftkey (might give it a second go)
4. Titanium Backup
5. ROM Manager

Dolphin blows. It's incredibly dated. Chrome or Boat Browser are the way to go.

I don't like Dolphin's GUI. The new Firefox is fast and I use it because of Sync. Firefox is my desktop browser of choice. If Chrome was my desktop browser, I would use Chrome for sync. Opera Mini would be a nice browser, but no reason to use it on my unlimited plan.

Can I extend this to updates? If so:

Google Maps - almost rely on this daily
aCar Pro - track my mileage and trips
Podkicker Pro - my favorite podcatcher to date. Keeps me entertained during long drives
Barcode Scanner - lightweight and simple scanner
Any.Do - must keep track of tasks
