So my 32 gb s3 should be here in a couple of days. Wondering what are some of the must have apps/things to do to the new phone. My 16 gb s3 had horrible battery life so maybe an app for that or system restore or something on the new one. Any apps you guys really liked? from 6:30 to 1!

For battery life, Juice Defender Ultimate. I'm a fan of Lookout, SwiftKey, chompSMS, the Android Central application...

NOVA Launcher Prime, Swype Beta (get it from the swype website), Cam Scanner, Pulse, Drive, Opera Browser, FoxFi, Viewdini, TuneIn Radio, Zipwhip (mirrors your text messages to your tablet, if you have one)

Oh ya any music players? I dont want to use a cloud type one. Id rather everything on the sd card. The one installed into the phone is ok but I found that some of the album covers just wouldnt show up and that was kind of annoying

I use the cloud, but developer DanPLC is working on Music Player (Remix) for Android. It was my most used app on webOS, so once he releases it I highly recommend it. It's a way off, though.

I tried the swype beta and didnt really like it, then again it was on my old droid 2 global which has to be the worst phone i have ever owned. I got it from the play store? Any others?

Another thing i was looking at but i dont think will be possible is buying a bigger battery for my phone, i use an otterbox though so i dont think it will fit. If i cant fix the problem where the phone only lasts half the day with the brightness completely off and using it maybe twice I think this will be my only other option.

That doesn't sound right. Did you check what was using the battery, how much was screen on time?

I dont have the same phone, still waiting for my 32 gb to get here. I didnt check but seriously 10 hours and I texted probably two people, took maybe 2 pictures, uploaded one to facebook, had the screen on lowest brightness, gps i believe was off as well. That was it, only reason im worried about this new one. If i have to ill buy another battery but i see some of you guys go up to 17 hours without charging and actually using your phones. I didnt even have any widgets just because i thought they would cause some battery drainage.

I cannot wait for that to come out for Android. I thoroughly enjoy it on my webOS TouchPad, and look forward to seeing some new features that currently aren't available due to OS limitations. :)

Juice Defender Ultimate. My battery has been increased by a factor of 2

Swiftkey 3. Great keyboard and the more you use it the more it adapts to your style. I hated the Samsung keyboard.

Friendcaster Pro - Great app for Facebook.

Go sms, hdr camera + beautiful widgets, swift key 3,go launcher, picspeed best wall papers, go locker, go emoji, power amp, trustgo security, Nba jam
