First charge for new battery

Ok, so definitely going to swoop up this massive beast up next weekend. Should I not cut the phone on and take home and fully charge overnight or set it up and run it down to 5-10% and then charge overnight?

Neither, turn it on use it , when you feel like putting it on charger go for it. Those days are long gone working about discharging and fully charging

Lithium ion batteries aren't affected by charge styles.

Li ions are great; however, charging does create deposits, so bump charging will kill it faster. It is still best to charge less and charge fully. Bump charging should not be an issue on the note 2. This battery is a beast. btw, a great wiki goes into detail on this of you want to nerd out aboit li ions!
