First day with the Moto X

The early, early report isn't too bad. Phone's been active for 5:30hrs with 2:45hrs screen time all wifi, no LTE, mostly doing updates, setup, a few phone calls, Moto assisted texts, playing with the new toy etc. and I still have 63% battery left. Half of the screen time was at factory default before I set it to Auto - screen noticeably dimmed on Auto. I'm using Google Now launcher and everything's smooth and fast. Moto apps seem to work, including the insipid "Opening Google." I'm liking it so far.

Mine is going back on Monday. For me, the battery was dismal. I am now having to turn stuff off that I would prefer to have on. I am also getting frustrated with having to tinker with it to the degree that I am having and finding that I have to compromise on things to save the battery. There are times when I am not near a charger for 16 hours and I need a phone that supports that. I could carry around a portable battery charger but, I am trying to downsize what I have in my pocket.

For my needs, purpose and usage, the device is just not for me. I can see how it appeals to others and that is fine. Its just not for me.

I have had my Moto X (2014) for about 5 days. I received it on Oct 20th.The battery life is as I expected it would be.I have used it heavy at times on some days medium use at times on other days.
I can make it though the day easy either way. Its a keeper for me :)

I still kept my Moto 2013 as well
