This sucker should last you 18 - 24 hours with normal use and more if you use power saving modes. But it's subjective. It all depends on what you have synced and running in the background and how much screen on time you have. What usage are you getting?

Not too good unplugged at 930 now 11.06 at 90 percent. Light usage checking apps not even much gaming. Do have loads of twitter messages

That doesn't seem like a lot of battery drain to me. In an hour and a half you you drained your bakery 10 percent and you said you did some gaming. That seems about right.

Not quite sure what you are expecting out of the battery first day out of the gate. It takes a coupled of cycles to get optimal usage. The numbers you are putting on here are not bad at all and will get better.

Here's my advice: stop staring at the battery percentage and enjoy your phone. In fact, turn the battery percentage off.

Don't become obsessed with a battery going down 1%, let it go. You won't have battery issues with this phone.

OP, you're get a lot more help in your posts if you try to write complete sentences. I'm not being a grammar nazi and demanding proper use of spelling, punctuation, etc, just asking you to give us more info to help you. "First day battery drains like Droid 4. Normal" doesn't give us any info to help you, and "Now 89 percent after light madden for 5 mins" isn't much better.

Help us help you.

As far as what you're asking, I would say give this device a few more days. It's very normal to see the battery usage you're seeing on the first day. Setup, configuration, and downloading/updating uses a lot of processor power, so you're going to see battery drop.

Make sure you set up your profiles and apps to be efficient in their background running.

Your battery life doesn't sound too bad so far, you should see some improvement in the next few days. Good luck!

Does the Droid 4 have REMOVABLE BATTERY?????

Just like with my Note 3, I carry around at least one spare battery. If I am going on a trip, I am packing 2 spare batteries and a charger.. That is one of the perks of having a REMOVABLE BATTERY.

At one snowstorm and snowed in, my Note 3 went on for almost 32 hours playing movies on a big screen with a MHL hookup. With only 15 second breaks to swap batteries.. If I am out and about, and my battery gets down to 15 to 20%, I swap out. Simple as that..

My battery(s) had very significant improvement 3 days after new. I noticed the difference on 2 different note 4's.
