First impressions of Android N dev preview 4

Oh, word is that Google is reverting back the WiFi and BT 'toggles' to be actual toggles for the next release. Guess the feedback was basically "huh?" and they are going to roll back the change.

Hey... it's a beta. :)

True. And unlike other developers, Google tends to respect feedback from its users, which I appreciate.

Google is very keen on listening to people. How to you write up reports to Google regarding OS issues. Etc?

I'd be interested to see how people's battery life compares on 4 vs 3. I tried the beta for a few weeks on 3 and didn't like the diminished battery life I experienced vs the current version of Marshmallow.

Hey guys running Beta 4 of N, did Goggle remove the dark mode for the system UI?

Just noticed that when using Netflix I get sound when starting content but no video but if I scrub the stream video shows but goes away when playing the video.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I've gone back to 6.0.1.... I loaded up Nb4 and over the following 2 days or so I ran into a bunch of lockups.... loading a page in Chrome, taking a picture and trying to share it to another app, loading a weather app... the phone would just lock up and freeze solid, sometimes for a 10 seconds or so, sometimes for several minutes. I can only assume they are now fussing with kernel and system optimization now and something isn't quite ready for prime time.

I'm sure it'll get sorted out.

Interesting. What device are you using? I have a Nexus 6P and having very, very, few issues - none of them showstoppers.

[edit]

Whoops! Just noticed I am in the 6P forum, so I guess that is your device as well.
