First impressions?

How is the scratchability? Most reviewers seem to suggest that the new Gorilla Class Victus is more shatter resistant, but it scratches easier than GG 6.
I don't like screen protectors and never had one on my LG G4, which uses GG 3. I carry it in my front jeans pocket, but am religious about never putting anything else in the pocket. After 6 years, it only has a couple very minor hairline scratches.
Will the P6 need a screen protector?

I've owned dozens of phones and have never used a screen protector. I've never had a scratch. I keep my phone in my shirt pocket. I've always worked in an office environment.

Wish I hadn't traded in the s21 ultra. It's a far superior phone. Been having so many issues with the pixel 6. Freezing, blue tooth connection with my car and terrible finger print reader

Yeah wrong move trading in a top phone like the S21 ultra for a pixel phone (even the pro model). Pixels are good little mid ranger phone but buying it thinking it will replace a top end phone Will lead to nothing but disappointment

Unless you're putting it in a pocket with keys and coins you'll be fine. I don't use screen protectors either

Same here, never used them on any phones and have had pretty much zero scratches regardless of the type of glass. But I also religiously keep my left front pockets clean, and the only thing that ever goes in there is my phones :p

Glass is glass and glass will scratch. Both my P5 and S21 got scratches on them and I'm very careful with my phones. But both dropped onto the floor of my car and the sand and dirt from my sneakers was the likely culprit both times. As pointed out, a screen protector would've saved me both times.

Anything glass will break or scratch, given the right conditions. But just wondered if the new GG Victus gave up some scratch resistance to be more shatter proof. My 6 year old LG G4 is holding up very well with no screen protector, and wondered if I could expect the same form the Pixel 6, or is it more scratch prone.

My G4 still looks great after 5 years in my pants pocket. Hoping the P6 is at least as scratch resistant as that.

Isn't it nice to have choices? For me, the camera is most important. I prefer what Google does with photography.

And this is why I finally moved over to Pixels and away from Samsung. I've already seen huge improvements on indoor photos of my kids, which is a welcome change.

I'm a Pixel fan, and wouldn't have traded my S21 Ultra for it. That Phone is a beast. Sorry you're having issues.

I was thinking about trading my S21ultra in on a 6pro, so I could be "all pixel". But today I took sim card out of 5a, put it back into S21ultra, powered up the phone, and said to myself "Dang, this thing sure looks fantastic and everything works so well." So, I'm having second thoughts.

Nope... That's why I traded my P5. S21U is just too good of a phone to trade in for a P6P. Once A12 "official" drops for the S21U, I'll be putting my sim in and see what Sammy has done with One UI.

I have the 4XL and 6 Pro, but no way will I part with my S21 Ultra. I switch Sim cards and alternate between phones.

First impressions. Holy cow it's huge! I love it. Auto brightness is better than on previous pixels. Telephoto is frickin awesome. I kinda miss the back fingerprint scanner. It's frickin huge lol. The screen is beautiful.

I just wanted to mention something I found interesting that might help others, when I was at Best Buy the other day looking at the pixel 6's, I went in expecting to see these monster phones... especially the 6 Pro. I have a pixel 3XL with a slim case on it, and when I held it up to the Pro it actually made the Pro look a little puny  ;) I actually looked right past the Pro at first because I was looking for this monster of a phone lol. The Pro was the same height as my 3XL but way narrower, which made it look and feel substantially smaller overall.

In fact after that I went around trying to find any phone that was bigger than my 3XL, and I couldn't. All the new flagships are 6 Pro sized, and because of being much narrower, they all feel smaller. That's a very good thing :p Overall the new narrower big phones will be way easier to pocket carry and use one handed than the older, wider big phones. The one thing I have noticed though is that when you put a case on a pixel 6/6 Pro that fills out the back of the phone flush with the camera bar, it makes for a thick phone

I was a bit worried I'd made a mistake initially, moving from my S20.
1 week later .. now that I've got my Pixel 6 Pro set up and adjusted to my liking .. I love it! Fantastic phone and highly recommended.
