First post - need Help please

when i first got my Hero, the sprint store transferred all of my BB contacts to my hero. and of course, after doing my first sync, i had the dreaded multiple contact problem.

while trying to delete the duplicate, triplicate contacts, i have exceeded my delete limit.

so, i thought i would be smart and undo all of the deletes and do them a few at a time.

well, apparently that wont work either and i have had the sync error on the top of my screen for months.

does anyone know of a way to get rid of the error / delete the contacts?

Are they on your gmail account? May be faster for you to delete them from a computer. Go to:
http://contacts.google.com
and delete them from there.

I had the same problem when I first got my hero. Going online and organizing them there is definitely the best plan

What I did was delete all of them off my phone then resync with my gmail and it stopped it right away. Of course you'll have to get the multiples out of your gmail to or it will just put them right back on there.

i did find that one out the hard way...

If you delete them on your gmail account I do believe that they will automatically be deleted on your Hero

I know using the Gmail contacts I was provided an option to combine duplicates which worked wonders for me.

That's what i did with a lot of the duplicates
