Hi Guys,

I had my brother order the Nexus 6P though his company to get a corporate discount. I'm coming over from 5.5 years of using BlackBerry devices.

I'm going to miss BlackBerry, but I can't justify the cost of the new Priv!

Very excited to use the new Nexus 6P! As a first time droid user, can someone help answer some of my questions
1) Can someone tell me if it's possible to install the BlackBerry virtual keyboard or Hub on non-Priv phones (mostly interested in the VKB, just used to it).
2) What's an Android? What's this Marshmallow? ... okay, I exaggerate a bit, but any tutorials and links to other useful links would be nice.
3) Any other welcoming tips for a newbie would be great!
4) I need to load up on USB-C cables and maybe pick up a few convetors for my old micro-usb cables! Any tips on where to get good cheap ones?

Welcome to AC!
I'm not too familiar with balckberry devices so I can't give you much advice but you will love the Nexus 6P.
Oh by the way, I love BC!

Welcome to Android Central! Hope you enjoy the new 6P!

To my knowledge, this may not be possible. However, Blackberry my be planning to put these on Play (hopefully they will)

It's getting a little dated, but most of the info is still accurate

There is a lot to learn...I would say get used to the new OS for a week or two, then start small. Like trying a new launcher. Nova is a good one.

I am pretty sure the 6P has a USB-A to USB-C cable. If not, I ordered one from the Play store. It works quite well, and is pretty thick.

one thing i wanted to ask... i'm really looking forward to testing and hopefully keeping/playing some high graphic games as well as taking a lot of pictures and video with my new phone.

unfortunately, i only have the 32gb 6P, my brother didn't have the option of getting a phone with more space. how how space do big games use on android? is 32gb seriously too low or unusable? any tips on how i can save space or recover (or should i just delete delete delete?)

Kind of depends. I think 32 is fine for me. Most of my games aren't all that big. I would say just be mindful of your storage space, and you should be good.

I agree with Golfdriver, 32gb should be enough, specially if you keep your media files under control :) Use a cloud backup to keep them safely stored and you'll be fine. Google photos would be my first option, but Drive, Dropbox and such work great as well.

Welcome to Android Central!

I think 32GB will be good for you to browse and try some of the bigger sized (file) games. If you don't like the ones you installed then just delete and free up some space. As mentioned by Javier, you'll need to keep the media stuff under control. Other than that, you'll be just fine.

Hello jasperlin, welcome to Android and to the forums at Android Central!

I see Golfdriver got you covered with helpful info already.

Enjoy the new device and have fun!

Welcome to AC, I was a long time BB user as well way back in the day and converted to Android back around Froyo 2.2. I know the folks in the Android world in general have taken some of BB's cool Priv features but I am not sure about the keyboard.

I've downloaded the vkb as soon as the priv came out. Someone has made an apk of it here on the forums. It works great on my G4 and I know others have downloaded without any problems. You have to give your phone permission to DL other apps, other than the playstore.

The option will be in settings....security....and still down until you see (unknown sources) and check that box, then you be able to DL the BlackBerry apk app
