First Time Android User!

Hi everyone,
Just switched from a long 5 years with T-Mobile (and no data plan) to Virgin Mobile's Beyond Talk Plan... My sister, father and I all got an Optimus V.
This plans perfect for a college student price wise, and hey, I actually have a signal (3 bars and 3G!) at home.

My past phones - Two Nokias with AT&T, then a Siemens with T-Mobile, then went to my first contact (not pre-paid plan) with T-Mobile, got a cheap Samsung flip phone. Then an HTC Wizard, HTC Dash, iPhone 3GS, HTC HD2, iPhone 2g, and now finally an Android device with Virgin Mobile haha
I'm sure i'm missing a phone in that mix but oh well...

About to root my phone, great tips you all have contributed to... Having fun with the Android OS vs iOS which seems to get boring
