i cant get to setting through the pull down menu~
it stated that application is not installed in your phone~

In most (possibly all) cases, no. You'll need a computer to root and install the necessary files to the device and run commands. There was a time where you could runt an application to root devices, which was nice for people on the go or who don't have access to a PC.
