I just got a Note 10.1 and turned it on and started to set it up. I supposedly connected to my Comcast Xfinity WiFi and it says that the signal is "very strong". However, I get to the part where it asks me to link my google / gmail account and I enter in my gmail and password and it says "This could take a few minutes"... However, I have left for about half an hour and it just stays on this screen. I canceled out of this and tried to create a new gmail account but then it says "checking availability.. this could take a couple minutes"... And again it is taking forever.

Any suggestions? I'm very close to my router and the only thing I can think is that I'm actually connected to wifi, but it claims that I am. I may try going to a local coffee shop and see if I have better luck with their wifi but I'd obviously like to use my tablet at home.

Welcome to the forums.
It may be an issue with Google's servers.

Thanks... nevermind I figured it out.. Turns out it wasn't the correct wifi network I had selected. Works fine now.

Lol..well, at least you got it sorted. See you around the forums.
