First time my droid is lagging. why?

Hey guys thanks for all the advice and the input. I went ahead and bought the premium version to support everyone putting work into this. I'll probably go through the steps tonight when my day is done. Now just gonna look through the different ROMs to see which ones have the features i like such as wifi tethering lol.

Would I need to wipe data and cache?

On your first install of cyanmod I would recommend you wipe data and cache then after that you should be able to update without wiping. Try cayanogenMod 5.0.6.2 or JRummy v0.6 they are the best IMO.

Thanks for the tip! I have heard about JRummy remix and obviously cyanogenmod. Gotta read the logs to see what each one include!

I swear the HTC does just what you describe to my phone. i have taken it off several times and always comes back when i use it again.
I think the live wall papers, Helix (5 screens) with widgets slows things down too. It could be a combination and having only a few may not affect it.
I think the 3 screens runs faster after its been on a few days but i have only my observation.

I am in Rom Manager and click download rom and it says "you must upgrade your ROM Manager to the lastest version!" But I am at the latest version. Whats the deal?
