Hey guys!

First time I posted in the Android forums, and will be the first time I will own a note 3.

It's also my first time dabbling with Android (wondering what all the fuss is about..hehe!)

I currently have a BlackBerry Q10, however find it a step back from previous BlackBerry's. One thing I'm worried about is using an on-screen keyboard with the note, however hopefully I'll get used to it.

I would like to know what is the main pro's over BlackBerry with the note 3 (Android in general).

And if anyone that has had a BlackBerry and transitioned to Android (note 3), what made your transition seamless?

Thanks! And I'm so excited for my note 3 (should be coming in a few weeks), can't wait to play with the s-pen :)

Cheers!

Just jump right in. That's the best advice. When I went from Blackberry to Android (Blackberry Tour to the original Droid), I did just that and I haven't looked back.

You'll get used to the on-screen keyboard in about 30 seconds.

By the way, welcome to the Rebel Alliance. :)

Welcome!! Secondly, jumping right in is the easiest method! I did so with the bold 9900 to a note 2. I had an iPhone before the 9900 but felt the screen was too small to text on. The note 3 being larger will make this an easier transition for you. My best advice is to learn how to swype to text and don't try to hit the button. That is what helped me tremendously. I started by trying to hit each key as if I was on a blackberry but I felt like the screen might break lol. Secondly, don't expect a blackberry experience, while a blackberry is closer in my opinion to Android than ios, it will take some getting used to. Just stay with it and you'll be happy!

The main pros over BB really is the apps. I had the Q10 and Z10 and loved them both just lacking many essential apps.

Thanks for the reply's and welcome guys!

I have been so use to the BlackBerry experience that hopefully once i fiddle around with Android ill get use to it.

I am excited for the customization part, hopefully wont be too overwhelming..hehe!

Ill update here once ive received the device :D

So guys!

I received my note 3 + gear and i LOVE it!!

Such a nice phone, a bit of a steep learning curve but i am enjoying it.

One thing however, my home button is a tad loose and sometimes s-voice opens randomly.
I turned off the 'press home button twice' to launch and it has happened less frequently.

Hhmm anyone elses note 3 do this?
