Agreed! This is quite an annoyance.

Have this problem too, and then the recipient can't really hear me so I have to speak up.

I've been running into this myself. My wife has been blunt with me basically saying that it is extremely annoying to have to answer the phone and wait for you to be able to hear me. This needs to be fixed ASAP.

I'm having this problem too. Using GV to make outbound calls, and have HD calling enabled.
