First world annoyance

I have a stock S2 that works fairly well. However, it has an issue that annoys me. I go days without using it and when I turn it back on, it overwhelms me with notifications that have already been seen on my Android phone. (Mail, social media, sports scores.) I realize that I could just turn off notifications for everything, but there must be another way. Not the end of the world, but it is a pain. Any advice?

I have just looked at this on the app store. Not that clear if you have to load the app on all devices or just one. I have just downloaded it onto my S2 and my Google Pixel.

Hope this works, because I am also fed up with the issue m1a1mg has mentioned.

I'll report back in a few days.

Reporting back as promised after using Notifly for about a week. It sort of works, but there is a long delay in both devices catching up with each other, for example, I read and delete a email on my S2 or on my Pixel mobile phone and the email can still be on the other device for a day or so, this just proves to be more annoying than having to delete them manually.

It's more or less the same thing with notifications and reminders, so I'll be uninstalling Notifly on both devices.

This could just be my scenario and it could work better for others.
