I am trying to decide on which fitness watch to get, Samsung Sport Watch or Fitbit.

I have read and watched reviews but still not sure. I am looking more for the fitness than smart watch capabilities. Syncing is major as well as battery life.

Any advice or if you have both, which one do you prefer? I am trying to avoid buying and then switching out.

Thanks

I have friends that have the Fitbit Versa and love it. I would suggest that based on that alone.

Not sure on the Samsung one.

If you're really not looking for smart watch capabilities I'd go Fitbit for just pure fitness.
I have had a few different ones - Garmin Vivosport, Fitbit Charge 2, Fitbit Flex 2 - but never had a Samsung. I like a minimal, small band and these are all thin and work well. They are all cheap compared to many available- the Flex 2 is only 70$ now and is my favorite. Only issue I have with it is no HR monitor - it doesn't have a display either but I like that.

I don't know how the other brands do with a Samsung device, but I've owned a Gear S2 for almost 2 years now. I really like it, and it is a very capable device (mine is a 3G version with it's own SIM). However, there is a very noticeable difference in battery life keeping my phone paired all day.

I also have a Moto 360 Sport which I got for cheap off Amazon. It runs Android Wear vs Tizen and the power drain on my phone is far less. Some of this may be due to apps like S-Health always communicating back and forth between watch and phone.

Thanks everyone. The guy at Best Buy was pushing Samsung over Fitbit. Samsung has nice features but does not seem like a fitness watch.
