Fix for distorted speakers on S7

[Android Central Question]

My Samsung model is G930F. I purchased it brand new in august last year and haven't had any issues until this problem with the speakers.
It appeared a month ago but I learned it could be due to a new app, so I uninstalled an audio trimmer app. It fixed the speaker up until this morning, when it returned.
It is a distortion of any sound coming from the speaker, it sounds robotic. It is not crackling it is completely distorted. I have uploaded a video of it on YouTube but can't add the link

Does this require a repair under warranty? I have not rooted this device..

In safe mode it does not happen. I have deleted some residual files and that seems to have worked, but I'm not holding my breath.

Spoke too soon. Whenever I install a new app the problem comes back.
