Hi all, hope this finds its way too all the people dealing with this issue like I'd been for the last 4/5 days since I got my Note4!

You shouldn't have to remove lenses/change settings/factory reset, and after doing this it should fix the issue in all apps that utilize the camera (Snapchat and Instagram are the only ones I've tried but it's working! :D)

In the ". . ." Settings, there's an option for "Metering Modes". Simply change this setting to Matrix or Spot, and any time you open the camera up again, after about a second, the focus will set for all-distance shots! In Matrix Mode I find it auto-focuses with a smaller depth-of-field, and Spot a wider one!

Hope this helps!

I do not use the camera a whole lot so I do not know much about it. I checked this setting and with HDR turned on the Metering Modes is greyed out. I always thought having HDR on is better?

I too noticed that metering modes is not available though with HDR on. I had to turn off HDR to try matrix and spot modes. All in all I prefer HDR.
