Is there any fix for this yet? This is the one bug that "bugs" me the most!!!! I shoot a vertical photo and it sends and displays in landscape. No one wants to look at a portrait photo like that.

My wife does this all the time and it bugs me to no end. Hold the camera in the correct orientation. Why are you holding it sideways? Back up if you need more real estate. You have plenty of pixels to crop to if needed.

We have 25% of our digital family photos sideways, and it bugs me to no end.

They show up sideways in the image preview after taking the picture, but if you head on over to Gallery, they would be oriented correctly there. At least mine always are

You should probably give your wife and the OP a break, they ARE holding the camera in the correct orientation.

The camera software on the epic is set up for taking pictures in landscape mode. The buttons are oriented that way. Look at the text when the camera starts up. The menu options etc.

This was the same way on the evo until Froyo was released, then you could properly take pictures in portrait mode, as the buttons, menus etc rotated when you rotated the phone.
