If you are Unable to sign in with your Amazon app, it is prolly because you have flashed too many Roms and reinstalled the app over and over... well, last night I was unable to sign in to the app after flashing a new ROM. when I was trying to sign in on my amazon app I was getting an error message to try again later... WELL... after clearing everything and rebooting to no avail, I called amazon and found out that I had used up my allotted amount of "devices" that I can use the app on... basically, every time you use a different ROM and sign back into amazon, it is considered a new device... the dude on the phone was real cool and just cleared out all the past devices for me. now I am good as new.

You can also do it your self on the amazon app store website. sign in, then click on "Your Digital items" near the top right of the screen. then under Amazon Appstore for Android click on 'your apps and devices', then on the right side of the screen, click on 'Edit' for your device and remove alot of them... then you should be good to go... if you want you can also call them from you phone too...

Good stuff man. I read the same thing the other day and it's a good thing to get out there.

Very good to know, thanks for sharing as I'm sure this will happen to most of us.

I also updated my OP about amazon in the Dinc forums too...

lol, when I spoke to the guy on the phone at amazon he asked me how many phones that I own because I had over 20 device activations. I tried to explain ROMing to him and that everytime you flash a new ROM and then reinstall and sign into your amazon app, it is considered a new device. it took him a few minutes to get me straightened out but now I am good to go...

Glad to help anyone, anywhere, anytime ;)

Nice catch seth. I have stopped using amazon app store bc i'm too lazy to keep installing it, but i can see how this would become a problem.

I have also run into this issue with the Amazon Kindle app, which only allows about five devices. The Amazon app store allows something like 20 devices, but if you're regularly flashing ROMs you'll easily hit that limit.

whenever I need to reinstall this, I don't go to the website and wait for the text message... I copied the apk to a folder in my supermanager app (basically root explorer but free) then when I need to install I just access it through supermanager and install that way, it alot faster than the website.

Bump... Somebody at work 2 day ask me the same issue so I figured somebody else might need a fix to

This also happens if you do a factory reset. I did several in the days after MR1 came out. At least it was easy to rename and/or delete devices.
