Folks,

I recently purchased an Asus Zenfone 2, which has a 13MP sensor of unknown provenance. The PixelMaster software is incredibly flexible, and actually allows the user to turn off image processing entirely (wish I had that for my Sony Xperia Z3 Compact, but that's another story). the resulting pictures have wonderful detail...but a fair bit of noise. I haven't found a manual setting in the image processing that provides a satisfactory tradeoff between detail and grain...are there some post-processing tools (either on phone or desktop) that I should consider for that purpose? An example of an detailed-but-grainy image can be found here: http://forums.androidcentral.com/attachments/asus-zenfone-2/169407d1428080030-photo-comparisons-zenfone-2-manual.jpg.

Thanks
