Hello all. I am just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this... Will Samsung repair a device that was purchased from them that has a warranty on it? Even for something minor like cosmetic damage or scratches?

I've had this certified refurbished device I bought from Samsung in March and it just looks awful. It didn't come like this, but I'm not really rough on phones. So it has tons of scratches and scrapes on both the back of the device and the screen. I am just curious if they will repair it just for that if I open a warranty claim or whatever? Has anybody had experience with something like this? I know Ubreakifix will do stuff I'm sure on Samsung's behalf, but my experiences there have not been good so I would prefer to send it into Samsung directly.

They may be willing to fix it for you, you'd have to ask them. But it won't be under warranty, you'd have to pay.

Sadly the damage has already been done. Its also hard to find good screen protectors with phones that use the ultra sonic scanner.

How about a new phone, just picked up a S22 on Swappa in excellent condition cheap.

How about no lol

Well, not no.. But I am slightly looking to possibly retire my Note 10+ to being my secondary device. around 300-350 is what I am looking to spend, and you can get pretty decent older flagships from Amazon renewed for better value than spending 800-1000 on newer devices like the S22 Ultra. The S20 and LG V60 are two that come to mind.
