I know I'll get burned by all the geeks on here but I'm telling my short tale anyway. Walked into BB today to inquire about the iPad 2 (no Flash sucks btw) and I was not even planning on asking about the TBolt cause I'm over all the BS at this point. On my way out, I saw a poster for it so I figured what the hell I will just ask to see if I could use my $50 gift card (I pre-ordered) for something else in the store rather than the Bolt. Walked up to 2 BB girls and the convo went like this:
Me: Can I use this $50 gift card for something else considering the HTC phone isn't even coming out.
Girl 1: Funny you say that because we actually were just informed at our store sales meeting this morning that we are to release the phone on the 17th. But you can use your gift certificate for something else and we will still call you after Verizon officially announces just in case you still want the phone.
Girl 2: Yea, and also for all of the people that Pre-Ordered Best Buy is going to sell the phone for $250 since that was the advertised price when they put the deposit down. It will be $300 for those who didn't pre-order.
Me: Great, thanks. Look forward to getting a call in July thanks ladies.
OKAY so go ahead and burn me at the stake. I don't trust the date either, we're lucky to see the TBolt before Christmas. I do hope that price point is accuarate though - would be a classy move by Best Buy. Happy Friday folks.
