It's confirmed that flash will not be available on the Nexus or ICS period.

Re: Flash is not available in the Nexus

I use flash daily. Won't buy a phone without it and I wanted this gnex asap.

Re: Flash is not available in the Nexus

read this quote in the article?

“Flash hasn’t been released for ICS yet so as far as we know, Adobe will support Flash for ICS.” – Google

Re: Flash for ICS

Html5? Are there any web sites that use html5 ? Is html5 available for ICS?

EDIT: I sometimes enjoy a TV show, on ABC or CBS.com, don't these use Flash??

Websites use HTML5, but you'll hear bull that Flash is only for porn when people say it doesn't matter that the GN doesn't have flash. Sound like Apple people. They will not be supporting Flash anymore on mobile devices except for putting out Flash for ICS. But, there is a huge amount of content out there that uses it. The information you're looking for is in this thread

I remember having to download flash and air when I got my Nexus S 4G. Sounds like there might simply be a small lag between release of the phone and the Adobe release.

Why are you using Slashgear as a source? They're nearly as good as P3Droid.

At 26 minutes into this video the Galaxy Nexus is shown running Flash in the browser and the Flash Player Settings app can be seen in the app tray. Samsung Galaxy Nexus unboxing video So that begs the question, WTF is going on? The phone is the retail version and not a preproduction unit. I'd wager that Flash auto installed when he logged into his Google account. I had the same happen with NFS Shift when I got my E3D: the game was a certified to run on my phone but, it downloaded when I re installed all of my apps.

I heard on an Engadget podcast that flash movies will play, however Flash doesn't run properly. Adobe has already confirmed that Flash will be updated to work on ICS by the end of the year... I am currently i'm at my doctors office and don't care to search for the link. This is a non issue at this point.

They said by the end of the year, so hopefully it doesn't turn out to be longer than that. I've had the Gnex for a couple weeks here in the states, and haven't really had a need for flash yet. Just enjoying the phone :)
