Flash player on 4.3?

Previous to the update I installed flash player from the Adobe archive and could watch Amazon prime videos on the default Internet browser.

Now with the 4.3 update, I'm unable to.

I updated the flash player to the latest I can find in the archive, and even tried some different browsers (Firefox, Dolphin beta), but still no dice.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Never mind, it's working now. For some reason now I have to have the desktop view setting checked, I'm pretty sure I did not need this before (amazon website never seemed to pay attention to that setting, and I always had to click the amazon full site link at the bottom of the page instead.)

Thank you so much for posting this! I was so disappointed to find that I could no longer play Amazon Prime videos after the 4.3 update on my Galaxy Note 2. I did not know about the desktop view option. I had always used the full site option on Amazon. I am now experiencing frequent crashes with both Firefox and the stock browser when trying to play Amazon videos using your great tip regarding desktop view. I cannot find desktop view in Opera browser or Dolphin browser to try those alternatives. What Flash Player version do you use and what browser are you using? I have Flash Player 11.1.115.27 which was working fine on Firefox before the 4.3 update.

Update to this post.

I updated my Flash player to version 11.1.115.81 (sadly, the Adobe site says this is the final Android 4.0 flash player update that will be provided). I also got the paid version ($2.99) of the Puffin web browser from the Google Play store which was recommended on another site. It actually has a very precise mouse-like arrow control which is useful for fast forward/back. This setup seems to be working well for now. I do not understand why Amazon refuses to release an Android app for Amazon Instant video/Prime playback. I am sure they would increase sales of Amazon Instant videos if an Android app were available, instead of forcing users to jump through all of these hoops to access their amazon digital video content on non Kindle Android devices.

I'm using 115.81 as well. Yes I now also see that both the stock browser and Firefox crash a lot when viewing prime videos. Perhaps I'll look into Puffin although I'm not crazy about paying for yet another browser with just a single purpose.

I agree Amazon's policies on prime video are really holding it back. It makes no sense for them to not have an android player app.

I emailed Amazon Customer Service today to complain about the lack of an Android app for Prime and to ask them if they ever plan on providing one. This was the reply I received.
