flashed AOKP rom and stuck at unicorn boot logo

No.I'm good now. But my data connection doesn't work anymore. I tried adding the extra connection setting like it says in the forums but no 2g 3g 4g or LTE. DOES anyone have a fix for this?

should i or do i always have to factory reset or wipe cache partition before i flash anything?

i know for sure with roms but with the radio???

The first thing that I would do is flash TWRP. It's much better for our phone than CWM.

When you change ROM's you should do full wipes, yes, unless otherwise specifically stated by the ROM dev in the OP. I'm pretty sure this is stated in the OP of every ROM ever made, ever. :)

I already have CWM so would it still be necessary to flash TWRP? would that replace and delete CWM? would that make my current NANDroid back up obsolete? would i have to reflash my current rom?

and can you give me a link to TWRP? This is the first time me hearing about it. googling TWRP doesnt help much.

sorry for all the questions. and thanks for all the help.

You can try flashing some of the other radios to see if that helps. I am using the 2.09 ATT radios and it is working fine. The radio are here [Radio][RIL]Flashable Radios with RIL files and Map (Updated 7/9) - xda-developers

hmm... i flashed the same one also since i am in that area but it doesnt seem like im getting LTE. still just on HSPA+. theres only an H at the top of my bars.

I know that if there isnt LTE, the connection moves down to HSPA and so on, but before, i would be getting LTE...

ill just have to wait and see. or if you have a way to resolve this it would help also

1) did you add the APN that was recommended as stated in the OP of the ROM

2) Should definetly get TWRP. It is much better recover tool. Here is the link [RECOVERY][6/10/12][AT&T ONE X/ONE XL] TWRP 2.1.8 - USB Mount Fix (UNOFFICIAL) - xda-developers
You can flash it on via CWM and it will flash on top it.

1) yeah i did. the signal sometimes way saying 3g/H for a while but i restarted my phone and now all i have are bars.

2)if i just flash through CWM, i dont have to follow these directions that were on the thread right?

Instructions for n00bs:
1. Have HTC and fastboot drivers installed
2. Download the Recovery image
3. Make a folder and put the recovery image and fastboot inside.
4. Reboot into bootloader and go into fastboot.
5. Open a command prompt and cd to the folder with the recovery image and fastboot.exe
6. Type "fastboot flash recovery Name-Of-Recovery.img" (without quotations and correct name)
7. Reboot bootloader, then go into recovery

1) Make sure you have that APN selected.

2) Make sure to download the flashable zip file. You don't have to follow the steps you mention if you do.

actually, it just seems like the LTE APN they gave me doesnt work :/

edit: didnt clarify but i was using the APN. it was on. i only get bars though. no data at all going through

another questions. If i want to flash another rom but i do not want to lose the current set up with my current rom, does a backup back up the rom and everything?

meaning, i do a back up. then flash a new rom. if i dont like it, restore with back up and everything is abck to how it is before

Yes, CWM backups are incompatible with TWRP, unfortunately. But TWRP is more stable for our phone. You will need to redo your backup, and TWRP will overwrite CWM.
