Flashing cm9 erases pics & music?

Well, basically I wanna know if updating to CM9 on my Galaxy Nexus (play store gsm) will erase my music and photos. Will it? Im asking because unlocking the boot loader and rooting didnt erase anything while in the other phones it did erase that stuff.
