Flashing from LMY48M to LVY48F

Does anyone know if I can safely change my ROM from LMY48M to LVY48F (Project Fi build) using the factory image without wiping user data? I know how to take the flag out of the flash-all script and flash each file manually but I want to see the if the Project Fi build will help with some issues I've had with Fi lately and I don't feel like starting all over again at the moment.
