Flashing i9000 froyo on Captivate

Has anyone tried this? I put eclair i9000 firmware on it and really helped. Wanted to see if the froyo one worked for anybody

I read it wasn't recommended

...because the Captivate doesn't have a Froyo kernel that's compatible with it's hardware. Supposedly the buttons get swapped around if you flash the i9000 kernel. Between that and the lack of BT and some other things when I considered it, I didn't think it was quite ready yet.
