Flashing satellite icon stays on when GPS is turned off

I've noticed this has been happening only since the Gingerbread update.The only way to make it go away is to reboot the phone. Driving me bananas!!

Any input?

if the gps icon is flashing it means gps is enabled but not connected. I assume you verified that it is turned off in settings. Make sure you don't have an app running that's trying to turn it on.

Oh yeah, i've definitely tried and checked everything at this point. i'm usually able to figure out this sort of stuff on my own...i hate having to ask for help, so this is always my last resort hahah
