Hello everyone.

I flashed CM10.1 a couple weeks ago, and after using it for awhile, I'd like to switch back to stock touchwiz.

From what I've gathered though, you can't do this without a nandroid backup (which I do not have), so I'm lost here.

Do I have to settle for a touchwiz ROM? If so, any suggestions on which to use?

Since you're rooted, you can flash any ROM designed specifically for your phone. Since you're in the Sprint forum, I assume you have a Sprint phone, but since we seem to have had a rash of people bricking their phones lately, I'll just mention that if you do NOT have a Sprint GS3, ignore the rest of this post.

You say "I'd like to switch back to stock touchwiz", and then "Do I have to settle for a touchwiz ROM?" Which is it? Do you want TW, or not? No you don't "have to "settle", but if you want TW, then yes, you have to use a TW ROM.

If you want stock TW, as you say in the first sentence, you can follow the instructions in post 2, here: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sprint-galaxy-s-iii/257471-your-way-update-mb1.html This will leave you rooted with the stock ROM. If you want to go completely stock, unrooted, follow the instructions here: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sp...-30-2012-sprint-only-unroot-return-stock.html

If you want a TW-based ROM, but not the stock one, there are a few to choose from. Reading this forum will inform you of some of the choices. This one: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sp...ting-roms-hacks/253237-anybody-try-m-o-r.html is one option. The Wicked Sensation ROM has a lot of followers: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sp...d-sensation-jellybean-v-2-1-official-rom.html

The stock ROM s are the best. Why strip all the features of the s3 with a vanilla ROM?

There a lots of very good TW roms out that are far from vanilla. And keeps the s3 features or gives you the ability to re-add something isn't in the rom.
