Flashing tmobile to Verizon s6

I just bought a used s6 from swappa and I am on tmobile but the phone is verizon based my understanding is its unlocked so should work I know my friends iPhone 6+ and nexus 6 worked fine on sprint and tmobile. I heard their will be issues with data and mms so would flashing a TMobile firmware fix these issues? Aren't all the phones the same? At&t/verizon/sprint/tmobile

That phone won't work on TMOBILE. It's a CDMA phone whereas TMOBILE is GSM. Totally incompatible

While it is CDMA it does support GSM due to it having a sim card slot (which verizon would use for lte data) I am doing the same thing everything works fine if you update the apns you can google it is can't remember where I found mine but I get sms mms without problems. Wifi calling and volte are only thing missing. Also I have noticed a slight drop in signal strength whereas I had full I'm now at 3/5
