I can't express how grateful I am. Thank you, thank you, thank you very much. Finally I successfully removed Verizon firmware. I am very happy. You are the best :)

Can you help me flash Verizon Samsung galaxy s20 ultra to AT&T so I can wifi-calling working on Cricket Wireless?

Every time I flashed to SM-G988U it goes back to stock firmware of verizon. I have tried using the Unbranded USA (USC) firmware but can't get it to work. Firmware is always stuck in VZW/VZW/VZW.

I can eliminate the bloatware of Verizon by going to SM-G988U1. the unlocked version of Verizon. However when I go from the unlock to USA(USC) SM-G988U or SM-G988U1 both take me back to Verizon firmware.

I have even tried TMB firmware. And same issue persists I can't get away from Verizon Firmware. On download mode Carrier is always VZW.

Do you use patched Odin, as explained? If you use it, it would take everything to pass OK. If not you must download odin 3.14.1 3B patched. There is a link back in the topic.

Hi, the SM-G988U1 is the unlocked firmware and isnt associated with any carriers bloat , which one are you on ? Go to settings>about>model number

Right now I am in SM-G988U1 on Verizon trying to get it to flash to AT&T to get wifi calling.

If your model number is SM-G988U1 that's the unlocked version, check your toggle in notification panel or go to settings>connection see if its available, another thing go to settings >about phone>status info>sim status>IMS regeneration status, does it say registered?

I can't find the IMS regeneration but in about phone yes it does appear as SM-G988U1. I am running Baseband Version:G988U1OYM2DUH2

I call them and they weren't able to fix it. Is this why the phone keeps flashing back to Verizon firmware no matter what firmware I put into it?

I can go only between Carrier and Unlocked for Verizon on Odin. Or what does the IMS do?

Ims register usually the device not provision , this could be the carrier your using are not on the highest tier plan like for Att if your on lower tier plan it wont be provision for wifi calling , 5g etc..

According to the unlimited plan I am on. I have the ability for wifi calling. The only other issue I would think is that I never toggled "Advance Calling" on in Verizon. So I never enabled wifi-calling. Since it is unlocked and have move to another carrier from Verizon. In phone info the wifi-calling when you go from code *#*#4636#*#* it is greyed out. In my settings, it never appears.

But I am still confused why I am locked to Verizon Wireless firmware when flashing other carriers like TMB?

Your not locked to any carrier firmware with unlocked firmware, you can flash any carrier they are all the same build number it just they get certified different times to roll out the update.

On the carrier firmware , when u have sim unlock the sim usually changes the boot logo add bloat but Verizon sim for some reason doesnt , but on carrier firmware they can be on different build numbers between carriers

They issue i seen over time here in the forums and helping people like your situation is anything not Att/Verizon/TMobile sims can cause features not to be provision , straight talk,Mint , any sub carrier seem to have issue on Samsung devices

Thank you, I appreciate your wisdom.

If get a AT&T or t-mobile sim just to flash everything and then put back cricket you reckon it would work? The problem is that wifi calling setting doesn't even show up as a feature on settings.
