I disagree! I have one on my BlackBerry and I use it quite often! Just because you don't use it doesn't mean others don't!

BTW Canncani great first post...Thanks for you're contribution to the site! Jackass!

I use mine on my BlackBerry also. Comes in handy if you're outside and drop something on the ground. It also came in hand when I was in the market looking at houses that had full basements. Most of the newly built homes didn't have power. I would set the flash to stay on and use it as a flashlight. Great way to view the dark basements without having to carry around a real flashlight.

Those all just use the screen...moto torch uses the flash..way better in my opinion...and t yea i have searched the market just checking to see if missed one

But it wont work on the incredible...I had this posted in the incredible forum...but it was moved.. Iposted it there cuz it was an incredible specific question not just a random app question

As near as I can tell, many Android phones have a flashlight app that activates the LED flash, but there isn't an app that isn't specific to a given phone - someone has to figure out how to programmatically access the LED on each piece of hardware because there just isn't an API for that.

There's a patch for the Palm Pre that adds a menu item to turn on the LED, and I find it incredibly useful. Hoping someone can hack a similar thing for the Evo soon after I get mine, 'cause I'll definitely miss it.

A good flashling app is extremely useful app for a multi-purpose device like this. I have one on my Omnia that I have set to an easy to get to shortcut and have used it a LOT, especially when looking for a nail on the ground in the dark, or camping....the list goes on. I will be getting my Incredible tomorrow and will check out all the ones BringTheRain403 (thanks for the post BTW) posted and if one used the LED flash and is easy to get to it will be a must-have on my Incredible!!!!

My flashlight app is probably the most useful app I have since I can't carry an actual flashlight everywhere I go. When I'm closing up at work, when I'm checking the mail at night. It's easier to pull out my phone than go find one.
