I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 Lollipop 5.0 Verizon. I want to add a Flashlight. There are many on the play store. I could just try them myself, but to save time, I thought I'd ask you all which one you use. Your help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I use Power Toggles so I can get the switch in the notifications shade and in the lock screen.

if you swipe down on the notification panel can you see flash light? if not, swipe left on the notification panel to reveal more. If it isn't there press "edit"

I have a stock VZW S5 and there is no flashlight button in the swipe down notification panel.

Long press on your home screen and tap "widgets"
Scroll through until you see "Torch" - You may see "Settings" then "Torch (1 x 1)" - just hold and drag that to your home screen.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 using Google now. Maybe that's why I can't do what you ask. None of your suggestions worked.

That did it. I found the widget. Thanks.

Take caution from flashlight apps. Some have been found to be collecting user data. No flashlight app should need file access (or related) permissions. I think they only need camera permissions, as that is associated with the LED flash.

I use Torch - Tiny Flashlight ®, free from the Play Store, as it is accessible from the pull down notification screen and saves having widgets cluttering up my nice, neat, home screens. Quick, simple and easy to use. See screenshot...

bump - i have a stock verizon S5 and i dont see the torch widget installed. do i need to install anything separately?
