Charger port is dumb.. Just because I can't use any charger that's already in my house.. (read some reviews about being careful about 3rd party chargers also)..

You can use any USB cable with your HTC... buy a USB B to USB C adapter... and Ive found a standard USB B cable work fine in a USB 3 port, so theres no loss in speed..

I use them on my MS Lumia 950XL (USB C) and my old HTC Desire (USB B) ... Just remove the adapter for your device... works great.. and fast

I'd be careful, though. Some USB-C cables can be quite a hazard.
