I was a little disappointed that the Motorola 360 had a Delta Airlines app and the developer skipped the Gear S. Here is a simple work around:

1. Take a screen shot of your ticket with your phone (QR code)
2. Crop the QR code and send it to your Gear (I would send a screenshot of the entire ticket as well - zone and seating reference)
3. Place your watch under/over the ticket scanner and viola - you have just checked in for your flight.

If I've overlooked the Delta app, please forward the reference. If not, enjoy a hassle free boarding.

Is this for all airlines, I have one in 2 weeks for Spirit Air?

If the Airline scans QR code for boarding then the answer is yes. I recommend keeping your phone or original boarding pass handy for the initial walk through.

That's exactly what I decided to do, try it but have the paper version just in case. Do you turn on airplane mode or do you turn your watch completely off when you fly?

I turn my watch off...it is useless to me at that altitude with no service (Bluetooth or 4G). It is more useful to me with more battery life.

Every time I go through TSA checkpoint and there is a hold up in the line, it is always someone try to scan the boarding pass from their (mostly iPhones) smart phones. The scanners TSA use (as well those used in my local grocery store) are just not designed well enough to scan from a phone screen.

Needless to say, what do every one behind that guy think of him :) I would never ever use my phone or watch for this. At least not until technology has advanced enough.

It depends on where you are I suppose... I have been scanning my boarding pass using my phone since my BlackBerry days with no problems in Canada; through security and at the gate.

For years I have used the app on my phone to scan my boarding pass. Since I have my Gear S I scan my airline boarding ticket in the Samsung Wallet app on my phone and then use my watch to scan when I go through the gate. It worked every time except for the gate that had a scanner with a small arch over it where I could not get my watch/wrist under it. In this case I had to pull out my phone airline app and scan the boarding pass.

Then you can think badly of me.

I'm not printing some piece of paper to get waded up before I get there and have just as many problems as the phone.

The issue that most people have is they don't actually have the app open when they get to the front of the line..

What's the app that needs to be open? I'm flying out in a week and I would like to try it. I'll print a paper one just in case for the first time.

I print out my boarding pass then open the samsung wallet app on my phone, then scan my boarding tickets into the wallet app. I open the samsung wallet on my watch when it is time to scan my boarding pass. Works perfectly. I also would like to store my drivers license on the wallet so I would not have to pull it out at all. Only view from my watch.

It says this isn't available in your country: I'm in the USA on a Note 3.
