AC Question

I can save articles in read later but how do I go about reading them later? There seems to be no option to do this.

Welcome to the forums. Which app did you set for offline reading in Flipboard settings - read later? For example, I use Pocket and it works great.

I started with Instapaper but couldn't get it working with that. Now I've installed Pocket and put the tick against pocket but it still says Instapaper. Still can't read later.

Just checked again and it says Pocket now, but I still don't know how to read later and can't find anything to click.
Ok. Can you read articles from other sources with Pocket? Can you see if your Pocket account is correct in the Flipboard settings?

Sorry for the next question, just to make sure we are on the same page :) After you save an article to Pocket, can't you see it if you open the Pocket app? As far as I know this step to access your offline readings can't be done directly from Flipboard.

I don't know of any other sources than Flipboard so can't check that.

In Flipboard settings under read late, it says Pocket and my email. So I presume that us correct.

I don't have a clue what page I'm on :) I don't know how to save to Pocket, but just assumed that if I flip an article into read later, it would automatically appear in Pocket somewhere. But this doesn't seem to happen or at least I don't know what to click on to find it in Pocket.

Try this. Open Pocket, tap on the person icon top right, tap the pencil icon and see which account you are logged in. Go to Flipboard settings, read later and make sure the same account is being used there. I don't see my email under Pocket in Flipboard but my account name.

If nothing works, create a new account in Pocket, log out from the old account in Flipboard and log in with the new one.

Also, you can see all the steps to set a read later service in Flipboard settings - Help & Feedback - Managing your account - Add a read later service.

I've changed it as you said and now my username not email is showing in Flipboard under read later Pocket. But I still can't find any read later stuff that I've flipped into read later in Flipboard. It is like there is no connection between Flipboard and Pocket.

Now it is showing that Flipboard is configured to Pocket with my username, but I still can't read anything later as it just does not show up in Pocket. I've put loads of articles in Flipboards read later, but how do I manage to read it later?

Let's try something else. Open Chrome, load an article from your favourite online papers, three dots top right, share, scroll down and select Pocket. Open the Pocket app and see if it's there. Better if you take a screenshot from Pocket main page and post it here, so I could have a better idea of what the problem could be.

Another thing. In Flipboard, select one of your feeds, tap on an article, three dots top right, save to Pocket. Can you see a pop up saying 'Saved to Pocket'?

Well I'm amazed. After spending about 6 hours trying to fathom this problem, I asked my young son. He showed me how to do it straight away with no need for Pocket or Instapaper. Just open Flipboard, click the icon with four little squares, then click Magazines and everything I've put into Read Later or My Flips are all waiting there to be read. That is so simple to use. I can't believe that this does not seem to be explained anywhere on the internet as I've been searching for this all afternoon :)

Great! Yeah, that's the offline feature included in Flipboard, I thought you were only talking about the 'Read later' option that depends on a third party service. Flipboard let's you save articles in these two different ways. I really prefer the second method, the first one is a bit limited regarding formatting and can be glitchy some times.

Anyway, glad you managed to figure it out!

Thanks for your help. From everything I'd read on the internet and help facility I thought that the only way to read later was by using a third party app which I just couldn't get to work. The method my son showed me was not obvious to me and didn't seem to be documented anywhere.
