Flipbook c302ca - android apps

Hi to all.

Am new to chromebooks but am really enjoying using this device, am writing a book.

Can someone tell me where I am going wrong regarding Android apps.

I am currently on:

Version 58.0.3029.140 (64-bit)
Platform 9334.72.0 (Official Build) stable-channel cave
ARC Version 4015103
Firmware Google_Cave.7820.277.0

Which seems to be ok.

I've got hold of the Android app that opens in a tab in chrome (screenshot) but it seems that when I get an app, it installs on my phone, not on my C302CA that I'm writing on now.

I'm on the stable channel right now.

Why, when I can see and access the store, can't I get the apps on here?

It's super disappointing to me that nobody has answered you yet. Either way, I believe apps have not been released in the stable channel yet. If i recall correctly, they are in the beta channel, but it might just be the dev channel. I'm not positive since I'm not on that device...

Once you have the correct version of chromeos installed, you just go to settings and enable the play store, it will then launch the play store and have you accept the terms, etc...

Could I just one thing.

Does using the beta channel have any negative side effects on the flipbook say?

I bought it to finish a novel I have done so that is my main priority.

Does beta do something bad?

How long would it take then to get the android apps running on stable cos I do have the patience to wait if needed.
