FM RADIO?

It's on my Note 8 but I never use it and to be honest, until I saw this thread I completely forgot it was there.

Maybe it's Unlocked Phones for USA that always had the FM radio, but all i know all carriers has never had the FM radio.

It also says "...market/operator dependent" so it may not work at all.

I thought FM radios on phones only work with corded earphones. That's what my dad's LG Stylo 4 said, which has a headphone jack. I thought it said in others as well. The cord becomes the antenna.
My dad is on tmobile.

My T-Mobile branded Note 8 locked has an FM radio chip...
I know all carriers have a FM chip on them even mines, but unfortunately for what ever reason they dont provide the FM radio, is what I'm saying.

I believe most have the fm chip but the carrier might not have it provisioned in their software. I think my old Note 9 had it and one or more of my Moto phones has it.

That is how my Note 9 works.

I would like if they activated it on the N20.. Note 9 had it, but Note 10 it wasn't activated (on ATT).

this is the reason I've held on to my BlackBerry Passport. it has the Radio functionality and I dont have to have the wifi on or have a sim card in it. i was using it as a bedside clock until recently, because the battery doesn't hold a charge any more 😔. im surprised they even put it in the device, knowing they're not providing wired headphones in the box.
