FM RADIO?

T Mobile Note 8. Didn't have my headphones handy but Next Radio works.

I use Next Radio on 10 plus with a cord into my bluetooth speaker unlocked with Verizon. I use it to listen to radio in real time to win concert tickets from home LOL! I had it on my old Sprint phones too before I switched to unlocked. I hope my next phone still has it.

The carriers want you to pay for their music service. VZW is the worst.

It's about greed no doubt but carriers don't offer music services, they profit by the consumer using data to stream music instead. Except now almost everyone has unlimited data so there isn't much reason not to allow it.

As far as I know, the FM architecture is embedded in the CPU, so they all have it - it's a matter of if it's activated or unlocked. I am pretty sure I read that somewhere. If I recall - I think Verizon was the only one that didn't activate or unlock it. But on the Note 10.. it didn't work on ATT either.

I have never actually used an FM radio in a phone but it would definitely be a welcome addition for me, not sure if the Exynos 990 chipset supports it though.

Not sure If Exynos modem had it but Qualcomm modem did .

I remember when I had my LG V20 on VZW, it had an FM radio chip, but was disabled by VZW, though they claimed LG disabled it.

I have an old Nokia N86 that I can use as a radio. It might still work on AT&T with a sim card.
