i have seen conflicting reports about the phone having or not having a FM Radio.I am about to purchase one and not having a FM Radio would be a deal breaker for me.Could anybody give me answer on this?
Thanks a lot

There is no FM radio in the 6P that I am aware of.

Since NextRadio app is one that supports many devices, you may want to look over their compatibility list at Supported Devices - NextRadio

Note that at least one user (in another thread) seems to have issues with the Galaxy S7's radio...

Hello Gent's: Can I emit my opinion on this issue. I'd say that Not only FM but AM radio
apps in SGs/5/6/7 & other Phone brands cause conflicts. Nowadays these phones come

Without Radio installed. Is like is Not included anymore to force users install radio
from other apps. The only phone that I had with radio was SGs3: I missed

Excuse Me I own a SGs7 where is located the radio on this phone. Any idea.?

I have LG G 2,LG G 3 two other BLU phones, and they all came with FM radios installed. No problems with them at all.

Sam, the phone has the radio receiver hardware built in, however many carriers choose to not include a player app. No doubt because they would prefer that you use a streaming service and thus consume lots of data for which they can charge you exorbitant fees.

Try downloading and installing a radio app, such as this one: https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...?id=com.nextradioapp.nextradio&token=0BivV_kt

nextradio isn't supported on the 6p, I just gave it a try and it said the hardware was unsupported.

I am buying an unlocked Nexus 6p from B&H.I am not sure if it has FM receiver built in,I guess I have to go there and see it for myself.

at GSMArc Website the Nexus 6P is listed having FM radio receiver.Very strange since GSMArc is regarded the most accurate of listing Android phones specs.

@N4Newbie: I conncected my SGs7 and tried to download the "NextRadio" app
Link: https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...?id=cpm.nextradioapp.nextradio&token=O86uVQMN

It shows an App logo & description of its features a video. With the Play button dead

Then display Reviews & similar apps, but the [Download] button is Not shown

as reported by some users. Any other Free app to try on welcome

Where are you located, Sam? Possibly the NextRadio app is not offered in your country? Check out their website: NextRadio - Live and local, wherever you go

Oh, wait... I just found this when I searched the FAQs on their site:

Where is NextRadio available?
Last updated 4 days ago

NextRadio is currently available in the United States and Latin America, and coming soon to Canada. Our ultimate goal is to be available anywhere FM radio is available.

:( Hi N4Newbie: The link: NetRadio -*Live*and local, wherever you go - Still

take Me to the same Site like the other link provided. Now offer a download

option, but when clicked it doesn't download nothing. I guess still on

the way to Canada. I'll keep updating on this issue. Bye

I hate that it has no capabilities to support an FM radio natively without having to root it first especially when it's a flagship device and my 100 dollar Lumia 640 has it natively BUT which the idiocy if Microsoft will axe and I don't care for Internet radio like Tunler or whatever that app is called.

It's not a question of root; there is no indication that the 6P has the requisite hardware at all.
