FML!!!!

I bought my xoom back in July ' 11 and could not be happier. I have not rooted it or changed anything on it and it works perfectly. I upgraded it to 4.04 and it works great.

Along with Fred I purchased the Verizon 3g Xoom on release day and we waited and waited for our promised 4g upgrade. I have never rooted or unlocked my device so i am still on Honeycomb ( I forget which version). But that really doesn't matter to me. What matters to me is that my Xoom still performs the tasks I need it too without bogging down or crashing. Yes once in awhile my stock browser does close on me but I can deal with it.

I am still happy with my purchase, and i am in no hurry to upgrade to the next latest and greatest thing. Yes I do wish us 4g users could get stock ICS but there is not one thing I can do that will force it to get here quicker. I would not trade my Xoom for a new I pad or any other tablet out there. Is it perfect, no its not. But I am satisfied that it was worth my investment.

The fact that the device has to be rooted in order to get it to perform acceptably means to that it isn't that great of a device.

What are you talking about? I've not rooted my Xoom and it works perfectly fine and has since the day it was released and I purchased it. The only problem with the Xoom was the delay in the LTE upgrade but the device is solid and always has been. There have not been a lot of complaints on the forums about the device so I really don't know what you're talking about.

Funny how you sing the praises of the Galaxy Nexus which is known to have issues and has to be rooted to be an acceptable device, yet you badmouth the Xoom, which doesn't need to be rooted, and is a solid device. Make up your mind, you can't have it both ways.

It's a shame this forum chooses not to offer the ability to ignore people.

For your sake be glad it doesn't or you'd find yourself talking to yourself. :p

I've had my wifi Xoom since launch (03/27/2011)... it was strong at launch and now it's a friggin' beast on ICS. really, it was like going from a Ford to a Ferrari... Sad that 3G/4G versions are still in limbo.

The whole Android tablet scene got off to a shaky start but they've ironed things out and the whole eco-system (techno-system?) is moving in the right direction.
