Fold 3 on the beach?

Dust is much smaller than sand so I don't think it will be much of an ingress issue. Just don't drop it in the sand, but if you do hose it off.
Still too risky , if you rented a beach house or something then i would keep it there but to bring with you on the sand no way .

Lol ...stang dont see sand either!
Yeah definitely preference , im just stating mine , beach is for me my swim shorts and sunscreen protection

Is there any way to safely use this phone at the beach? Don't unfold it and just use the cover screen? Samsung folio case that covers the hinge with the s-pen? Thanks.

To be honest, the best way is to not risk it at all and just either use a backup phone or keep it in a zip lock bag. I'm a fold 2 owner and I use an iphone se as a back up when I exercise or when I think it's about to rain. I just switch out my sim card and keep going. Sometimes it's nice too to use the backup phone when I don't want a huge phone in my pockets for my work day.

Whoa. A lot of people on here are waayyy to cautious. I've brought every smart phone I've ever had to the beach, probably thousands of times. If I ever saw someone there with their phone in a ziplock bag I'd die

It actually displayed a warning message about not using it in dusty and sandy environment. So I'd say: Beach is a no-go

For me, using it at the beach would be way too risky. The idea of even a scratch on it is almost nauseating. I still have this stupid-dumb obsession of wanting to keep my devices in like-new condition and I can’t see how that could reasonably be done if using the phone at the beach. To that end, its an excuse to have a lesser phone as well…a sacrificial lamb so-to-speak. In my case an iPhone 12 Mini. It gets the biking, running, beach, etc. chores and the nice phones get the pristine treatment.

Long story short, the ZF3 it too nice to risk the beach environment.

Hey there...
well that's where I'll wear the Watch 4 LTE in such environments; and living in No.AZ, not much worry of sand 🤠, just red dirt and dust.
Good luck to all with your new devices no matter the environments! ☮

I live in Southwest FL and take mine to the beach. This is why I'm not buying the Fold. I also carry it in my pocket always so that's another way for lint, dust and such to get in it.

All, thank you for your feedback. I have ordered one of these pouches, which should hold my Fold 3 inside a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 5G Flip Cover with S Pen. If I go to the beach, I will not take my Fold out of this pouch except when I'm up on the boardwalk at a store or restaurant. Just have to find a way to keep any sand that gets on the pouch exterior from getting on the case or the phone when I take it out of the pouch. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU6972481

My Z Fold 3 is no worse for the wear after bringing it on the beach, but I didn't use it on the beach. I kept it in its case, inside a zipper pouch, inside a zip-lock bag inside my beach bag. Then I carried the zip lock bag up on the boardwalk, took out the phone and used it there. Put it away before I went back on the beach. Despite all the shielding, I did have to blow a couple of random sand particles off the outside of the phone when I took it out prior to opening it. So, bummer that I didn't feel comfortable actually using the phone on the beach, but I did get a lot of reading in and was more present to enjou the scenery.

We went last week and my friends warned me to leave my Flip3 in the vehicle. Not because of damaging it but...

You don't need three freaking phones with you!

LOL

Not really into taking pictures so I just brought my A52.
