Folder shapes for Nova, a little confusing.

I don't understand how I am supposed to customize the shape of my folders in Nova Launcher:

1- What is the (max, minimum) size/resolution the icon/shape is supposed to have ?;

2- What file format is the shape supposed to be ? (jpg, png or what ?);

3- Do I need to add anything to it ? (transparecy, etc...).

There are no tutorials or any explanation in Nova, regarding all of this.

Also, just so I don't need to open a new thread for this other question:

Are there any official websites for themes (for Nova Launcher) ?

Just open folders in Nova settings. There are many things you can change. Just play around until you find a look that works for you. Nothing is set in stone, so just have fun.

Oh that I know. I was wondering about resolution and format, really. I don't want the app icons overshadowing a dwarf folder one.

I am making my own folder icon, and that's why I am lost.

Kinda worked, but not quite yet. Folder seems to be a bit cut on top, so that might be the resolution/size issue.

112x103. That's the max resolution for folder icons in Nova. That's what I wanted to know.

Nova's devs should had definitely put this info in the app's options.

This is a little off topic but this is the most recently active nova launcher thread.

Is there a way to disable the nova launcher from opening up the home settings when the home key is pressed.
for example if im on a different app and press home, i'm sent to the home screen. but if i happen to press home again, it opens up the wallpaper and widgets menu and shrinks the home screen. which is really annoying.

Try this. Open Nova settings, go to gestures & and input and define the action for the home button. If you prefer you can select 'none'.

Ok, even at 112x103, folder background icon is still slightly cut off on top.

I don't know how to fix this, or Nova.

What about reducing the size of the icons?

112x103 is already too small. I could shrink it but to not lose res, I'd have to create a new image from scratch, and since I don't know what works with Nova, I give up. Spent hours to try and shape a simple icon which keeps being cut off on top.

What about those theme sites (for Nova)? Any official/famous/secure ones?
