Font bug?

The clock font on the lock screen, I set to Large because I have bad eyesight. But when I get a notification or use the music player, the font reverts to normal size.

Once the notification is cleared and the music player is closed, the clock font is large again. There's plenty of room on the screen, there's no need to shrink the font.

Any suggestions to fix?
