I've had the same Verizon N3 that I preordered and had since DAY 1. I have an exchange account syncing contacts and calendar via stock client with frequency of push. I have touchdown syncing email with push frequency.

GPS on, wifi on, screen on about 40%. I didn't put the phone on the charger at all yesterday.

I did use the WakeLock detector app someone in this forum suggested to uninstalling some app from waking my device. I also killed BBM, that app seems to really drain my battery. And lastly, If you're in an area or building with spotty service that will kill your battery also.

I know alot of my post might be repetitive but I just wanted to let folks know this battery is a beast and most of the issues with drain can be resolved.

I've really pounded this battery and I've been really pleased w/ it. I thought for sure, I'd be using a mophie but that thing is just collecting dust. Should be even better once KitKat starts rolling out.

I'd love to know what I'm doing wrong because the battery life is the only thing killing me about this device. I left my house with a full charge this morning and with average usage, I'm down to 30 percent 7 hours later. I've turned so many things off im surprised the phone rings at this point. Plus, my screen is nearly black because I have the brightness setting all the way down.

One thing I would advise is to turn off all the default apps that you don't use.... for example, Walking Mate, and a bunch of VZ apps.

Use the WakeLock Detector that's in the Play store and that will give you a way better idea of what apps are keeping you phone awake when not in use.

I went to the Verizon store today and told them the problem with my phone. The "tech" looked at it and noticed my battery was at 48 percent when I walked in the door. Everything that he could have turned off, was off already and the screen was at the dimmest setting. He started telling me that he doesn't see a problem when I insisted he get a manager. When the manager came over, he looked at the phone and it was at 40 percent! It dropped 8 percent in 10 minutes with everything off! They agreed to switch out the phone and give me a brand new one. I'm hoping I get better results out of this one.

How do I turn off Walking Mate and the VZ apps your referring to?

If you go to settings then application manager. One by one go to the Verizon apps you don't use and turn them off. Do the same with any Samsung apps that you don't use.

Must be a few faulty batteries/devices.

I too have had my initial device that was delivered on launch day.

I am happy to say no issues thus far. My battery has been great. (Had RAZR Maxx good battery)

I turned off bloat I do not use from verizon, Google and Samsung.

I stream netflix, xmradio and sling player all day. I have live Koi wallpaper and did not dim phone I keep Wifi enabled except for 8 hrs I'm at work.

This phone and battery performance are always in Beast Mode.

Hope those having issues get them resolved and get to experience the phone as I have.
